Original Japanese Samurai Sword Signed Plated Blade. Teh blade is handmade and tang is signed and has the little square kangi stamp. A previous owner very lightly scratched his cal lic # on the tang opposite side. The blade is plated nad has very few imperfections. I tried to picture them but i will describe them also. The blade si bright shiney and smooth there is several tiny chips on the sharp edge and some minir pitting at the tip and the hilt. The blade is 26 3/4 inches long from the sword guard. The habaki is a rather large one and it is shiny brass. There is an interesting locking devise. TI looks like a brass washer that fits into the scabbard top and holds the blade. The handle is tigtly wrapped and coated with a varnish or shellack. This is a typical ww2 militry handle with cyrsanthamins (flower) menuki on both sides. The handle is 9 3/4 inches long and hasonly one hole. Shipping will be actual amount charged by the post office about 20.00 in the us.
